Selous Advisory Group (SAG) is a company based in the heart of Europe, in Budapest, Hungary. It provides strategic advisory and tactical opportunities for clients struggling with grey-zone or hybrid threats.
There is a new paradigm in international relations. Low-intensity conflicts make life impossible for the inhabitants of entire regions and ruin or threaten countries. These conflicts are complex, multi-layered systems and are increasingly complicated to resolve for multiple reasons. At Selous Advisory, we’ve seen both successes of innovative minds and the failure of outdated strategies and policies and their consequences. We made it our mission to help those battling these crises. We understood that the sole military or law-enforcement approach is insufficient, and we need a broad spectrum approach to have an impact. Our unconventional, joint programs can outperform traditional results with faster, smarter, and more sustainable solutions. Our leitmotif is integration. We deploy a full range of mutually supporting services to provide our customers with the most performant solution set.
Empowering Local Forces Through Expertise and Capacity Building
Our role is to help local forces develop the necessary capacities to counter threats. Our team is made up of subject matter experts in a wide range of disciplines, and although we have a small tactical element, its main role is to train and mentor local forces, and eventually provide the necessary security for other deployed Selous Advisory personnel.
It is worth noting that the primary goal of our company is to strengthen the skills and capacities of local forces to enable them to better manage crisis and conflict situations. As an organisation specialising in consulting, our mission is to provide our expertise and knowledge in various fields such as logistics, training, strategic planning, and crisis management, while respecting international laws and regulations.

Our approach is based on cooperation and collaboration with governments and local institutions to ensure that our intervention is tailored to the specific needs of each situation.
